Kenneth Mackay, 37, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the fatal shooting of the 38-year-old Taylor in September after he was found suffering from gunshot wounds in Western Baltimore.
Officers from the Baltimore Police Department were called shortly before 3:15 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7 to the 1700 block of McKean Avenue, and a canvas of the area led to the discovery of Taylor, who had been shot multiple times in the 1800 block of Presbury Street, where he was pronounced dead by first responders.
On Monday, investigators announced that they have arrested Mackay, who was charged with first-degree murder.
According to the department, a police officer on patrol stopped a Nissan Altima in the 4100 block of Edmondson Avenue in reference to a repair order and for vehicle tags that did not match the car.
While investigating the incident and occupants inside the Nissan, Mackay was identified by the officer and he was arrested without incident in connection to Taylor's fatal shooting.
No information about Mackay's next court appearance was not released by the police.
